What We're Reading Sunday

We are still in a bit of a Halloween hangover around here, but I just have to share what we're reading!

T and I have just started Dinosaurs Before Dark by Mary Pope Osborne. Other than poetry, this is our first extended night time reading. He's kind of excited about it and kind of still wants a story that ends in one night. I think you know where that is going right? We often read one whole book and then a chapter of this one. It's a compromise I'm willing to make!

As for his independent reading, he has a just right book from school each day and we throw in a book from the My Very First I Can Read Tug the Pup Series. He loves reading them by himself, changing his voice and reading it in a monster voice or squeaky voice, and of course, finishing the set. (He is a little Type A....must get that from his Daddy.)

I also have big plans to pull out the rest of our fall reads this week. Cross your fingers!
